VIRTUAL IFSO-EC 2020 CONFERENCE: 11 DECEMBER 2020

Dear Partners, Colleagues and Friends,

We hope that you, your family, colleagues and friends are safe during these challenging times.

In light of the continuing global health concerns, the IFSO-EC 2020 Executive Council have taken a difficult decision to postpone the 9th Congress of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders – European Chapter (IFSO-EC) to a later date (autumn 2021).

While we cannot meet in person this year, IFSO-EC Executive Council is preparing the virtual IFSO-EC 2020 conference that will be held on 11 December 2020. The virtual format will combine live streams, exhibitions and Q&A sessions during short and manageable time slots to facilitate real time exchange with and within the international audience. As soon as the virtual IFSO-EC 2020 conference concept is finalised, we will inform all concerned parties (selected speakers, delegates, invitees, …) and publish details on the website.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. The congress secretariat GUARANT International will contact you with regard to registration changes and all logistics. You may also contact ifso-ec2020@guarant.cz for urgent assistance.

Finally, we wish to thank all of you for your continued great support, active participation and we look forward to meeting you online.

Martin Fried
IFSO-EC Executive Director
President of IFSO-EC Congress 2020
